Three smuggler women portrayed as stars of gangsta rap, usually being part of a system that forces them to cross the border between Morocco and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta several times a day, loaded with tens of pounds on the back.
These proud and powerful women are taking back possession of their bodies through photography.
The fabric print reminder of a flag, a piece of fabric used as an emblem for a nation or a group. Here, the fabric would be the symbol of individual resistance, which today goes beyond the limits of the Ceuta enclave and faces the eyes of others.

Trois femmes contrebandières portraiturées comme des stars de gangsta rap, d’habitude parties prenantes d’un système qui les oblige à franchir plusieurs fois par jour la frontière entre le Maroc et l’enclave espagnole de Ceuta, chargées de dizaines de kilos sur le dos.
Ces femmes fières et puissantes reprennent possession de leur corps par la photographie.
Le tirage sur tissu rappelle un drapeau, pièce d’étoffe servant d’emblème à une nation ou un groupe. Ici, l’étoffe serait le symbole de résistances individuelles, qui aujourd’hui dépassent les limites de l’enclave de Ceuta et font face aux regards des autres.
